If you live in the northern hemisphere, especially if you are far enough North to experience four seasons per year, spring is around the corner. The coming of spring brings the desire to start clearing out the clutter, shedding some extra pounds and an attempt to get lives in some semblance of order. This year I propose to our members, not just those in the aforementioned region, to implement Spring Cleaning within your marketing repertoire. What I mean is, it’s time to clear out the old to make way for the new; vocabulary, approach, and just plain bad habits. If you are new to marketing altogether, this article is a great reference on how not to pick up old marketing techniques that will sabotage your marketing efforts.
The first thing you need to understand in order to make your marketing a success is, CDT is not an MLM or Network Marketing business! Thus using your most likely unsuccessful MLM or Network marketing skills to market Munami might find you in a difficult space; with a brilliant business opportunity, and a lot of read flag words, phrases and tactics that will slow your roll.
If you are having trouble following what I am saying, allow me to give you a few examples that have happened to me (these are all true). First allow me to introduce myself I am the Marketing Guru; my birth name in the following situations will be omitted in order to protect myself from being found by those over zealous marketers again in the future.
One warm summer day I stopped at a gas station to fill up my car. When I turned from my car to put the gas hose back on the pump I was startled to find a man standing in the two feet of space between the pump and me. Keep in mind I had not yet been exposed to the world of recruitment marketing! As soon as we made eye contact he took another step forward (putting him less than one foot away from me) and he immediately started going into a spiel about an amazing business opportunity that was guaranteed, blah bla bla blah. I was trapped with no way to hang up my gas pump and no moment to get a word in edgewise. I stood there wide eyed as he proceeded to fish for a pen to ask for my contact info. At this point I put on a phony accent and murmured the words “no speak Engleesh” before darting around him and running for the safety of the mini mart to pay for my gas.
The second experience came many years later when a woman who used to provide a beauty service for me out of her home invited me to a “get together” she was having. I attended to find out the only other guests were her husband and her upline who proceeded to tell me something about a 2 by 2 matrix with a double back flip. The truly sad thing about this situation is that I never went back to her for my beauty services again.
What do both of these situations have in common; they were both extremely off putting, and secondly they add to the stigma that makes the normally great utterance ‘business opportunity’ sound like a four letter word. I have here a few steps you can take to clean up your marketing strategies to see more success.
Vocabulary: there are a few words and phrases that many our members are still using that might give anyone they talk to a cause to pause.
All you need is 2 sales- while generating sales is an important part of being a member, this statement has caused many to do the bare minimum for themselves which led to limiting their success and being unqualified for Project Millionaire. Perhaps you can say jump-start your marketing team with as many sales as possible in order to build a strong team. Then let them know that qualifying for Project Millionaire is an attainable goal.
Buying positions- You cannot buy a position at Munami, all moneys paid to Munami are for diamonds, deposits for diamonds or other products and services, all accounts held at Munami are FREE!
Come join this pyramid thing- how can you establish credibility with anyone while telling him or her to come do something illegal. Secondly Munami is 100% legal so please do not paint it with a dirty brush.
Commission- Members are paid Marketing fees for successfully marketing Munami’s diamonds.
Direct sales- there are no direct sales at Munami. Members are not given products to go out with and sell. Members do not sell on behalf of Munami, period.
Distributors - Munami has no distributors only Diamond Collectors.
False guarantees - Do not promise to do work for new members; do not Promise specs on diamonds as Munami does not promise specs but Value. Do not make any other false promise you might feel compelled to make in order to get others to join.
Hands - the correct term is Accounts, when other people hear hands they may believe that you are alluding to gambling.
Investment - People making a diamond deposit are not making an investment but putting money as a down payment towards the final purchase of a product.
Matrix - A lot of people love this word once they figure out what it means, unfortunately this is a red flag word for those who are trying to avoid MLM and Network Marketing schemes. Munami does not have a matrix so why weigh your self down with The MLM albatross around your neck.
Prospect - this word in itself is not a bad word. Munami would like to foster a better relationship between members and potential teammates. The term Protégé is preferred as it suggests that you are not only going to market to people; but will take the time to mentor them and help them to succeed as well.
Recruitment - this is not necessary for success, simply market Munami’s diamonds and be paid a marketing fee for the sales you help generate.
Workers - this is an old term that has been weeded out; evidently many members stop working towards their success once they figure they have someone working to do it for them. This attitude slows the progress for all!
The solution is to retrain your brain! Using the correct terminology is much simpler and more conducive to your success. Another problem that slows the progress of members is;
Good Marketing Habits:
Tell the whole truth: don’t be afraid to tell your future protégés the truth about how Munami works, if you are not sure yourself direct them to member resources.
Stop jumping: One of the most detrimental habits that slow progress is jumping from one team to another or one program to another in the hopes that the grass is greener on the other side. We encourage members to work with his or her team for everyone’s success.
Use the tools: Maximize your potential by using the tools provided; Munami developed them for you.
You are 100 to 1000 times more likely to be successful with Munami than with MLM or Network Marketing businesses. Using the correct terminology and practices will enhance your success ratio exponentially.
